I feel like I say this every week, but 25 weeks ALREADY??!! What? How did that happen?
According to my sources (What to Expect and Baby Center) the baby in my belly is now 9 inches long and 1.7 pounds. Or roughly the size of an eggplant. My uterus is the size of a soccer ball and is located about 2 inches above my belly button. I was excited to learn that her skin is turning more pink and her lungs are working on maturing and growing so she will be able to breath outside of the womb when the time comes. She is moving a lot lately, and I love love love feeling her kicks, punches, and somersaults. The joke this week has been that she has been biting me! Some of those kicks are SHARP!
I am feeling really good this week. Nothing too exciting to report, which is how I prefer it! Despite Hurricane Sandy I still managed to squeeze in three separate workouts; a 2.5 mile run, a 3 mile walk, and a 20 minute weight session. Since we have a free weekend (and by that I mean, no travel!) I am hoping to get in a few more walks/runs over the next two days. My sleeping situation is also touch and go. Some nights I crash and do not even move until my alarm goes off the next day. But some nights I am up every 3 hours to pee and cannot for the life of me get back to sleep.
Week 25 in a nutshell…
Weight gained: 15 pounds (per my home scale this morning)
Stretch marks: NO!! moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!!
Sleep: Touch and go
Best moment this week: feeling her literally ROLLING around inside of me
Miss Anything? A tasty pumpkin beer or two… or eight. Bikram Yoga.
Food cravings: MEAT! for this once vegetarian, it has been a hard transition!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: Next week’s ultrasound and my baby shower!
